My husband and I could not be happier with our home built by Cami. As first time home buyers, we were nervous about the many decisions we had to make. From the very beginning, Marvin was extremely helpful, straightforward, and honest. He helped us to understand what we needed in our home and what the best decisions would be going forward. He took the time to explain the different options for our home, such as the flooring, the cabinets, the tiles, etc. Not only does Cami have colorboard options to choose from, but they encourage customers to choose they’re colors to make their homes their own. Immediately, I felt like a home owner, putting my touch on what my future home would look like. As our home was being built, we were amazed with how quickly and efficiently things moved along. The timeline that we were provided was spot on and never once did we feel like we were excluded from anything. When it came time for our walk through, the site super took the time to thoroughly explain each aspect of our home and make sure we felt prepared to move in. The fact that we were dealing with the owner of the company and the site super, we knew that there was no run around or hidden agenda. We felt valued as customers and even today when we see them around the neighborhood, they are as polite as ever.
We already know that we will be using Cami in the future as we look to grow into another home.

When my wife and myself set out to start a new chapter we decided to look at our options for building a custom bungalow, we searched long and hard and walked into many show homes. Every one we looked at was just missing something. It wasn’t until we walked into a Cami show home that we new it was time to pull the trigger! All the standard specs were above average and would be additional cost with other builders, the Cami team was always present when we had a question, as dumb as it would be they truly made us feel comfortable. From the digging of the basement to hand over of the keys we were promised a 5-6 month possession day, this was bearing no complications of material. Even through a major pandemic this company did not skip a beat, product was ordered well in advance and delivered as promised! The sight supervisor was on every trade constantly always ensuring our vision was achieved. We can’t say enough about the Cami Team and all the trades that work for them! Thank you Marvin and Lino for giving my wife and I our new Dream Home!!

We’ve purchased three newly built homes in our life. Cami is by far the highest quality and most professional of the three builders we worked with. Notably, Cami provides high quality craftsmanship and is responsive to post-possession minor fixes (as there always is in any new build).
Why we picked Cami?
We were moving from Ontario and visited a dozen homes in St Albert. We were hesitant between two homes and our Realtor suggested that the Cami model offered a more practical and modern design (easier resale). Also, our Realtor highlighted that the Riverside neighbourhood was likely the most sought after new neighbourhood in St Albert for families like ours.
What the inspector said?
Before closing the deal, we invested in an inspector. (We’ve had terrible experience with new home builders in the past. We wanted to cover our bases.) The inspector was impressed. He told us that he very rarely sees homes built with such good craftsmanship and with such attention to detail. He had never heard of Cami, but hypothesized it was a small family-run business built on pride rather than profit…he was right.
What we really like about the home?
9 foot ceilings on all floors, clean look throughout, large oversized heated garage, huge kitchen island, practical design, quality products, modern touches (hidden vaccum, triple pane glass, auto lights, entertainment system, on demand water heater, unique light fixtures, etc.)
What we like about Cami the business?
Marvin (owner) and Leno (Manager) are responsive to any questions and requests for follow-on adjustments. There sub-contractors are polite, courteous, and professional.
Conclusion
I hope Cami remains a “smallish” family run operation instead of becoming a corner-cutting home-building corporation. Their homes may be on the expensive side, but you get better return on investment.
